InterSpace

InterSpace is a space exploration & exploitation boardgame for 2 to 4 players.  Each player assumes the role of a civilization that has grown beyond its home world and is expanding into the Universe.  Players build ships, explore space, colonize planets, and trade with or wage war on the other players.  Players also develop new technologies and expand their industrial bases, allowing them to build more and better ships.

InterSpace is not available in print.  However, all the files you need to make your own hardcopy are available here.  Construction of InterSpace is not for the faint-of-heart (or sound-of-mind.)  You will need to create 108 hex tiles, 96 unit counters for each player, 192 more miscellaneous counters, plus 16 Planet Data cards and 4 Tables cards.  You may also want to create the optional Alien Objective, Breakthrough, Colonization, and Encounter card decks.

You are free to make copies of InterSpace for yourself and your friends.  However, Interformic Games retains its copyright to InterSpace. Copyright

InterSpace includes 3 sets of rules: Basic, Standard, and Advanced.  Use the Basic rules if you are new to the game or gaming in general.  Use the Standard rules once you have mastered the Basic rules or if you want to jump into a meatier game.  The Advanced rules are a set of options you may pick and choose from to use with the Standard rules.

Use a black ink printer to print the rule files that interest you.

If you use the Encounter cards, you will need to make the 48 Encounter counters.  And if you want to use the optional "Plus Counters" rule, you will need to make the 48 "plus" counters.  Both of these counter sets are located in the optional counters file.
